A three-hour music jam, in which we’ll play with music, rhyme scheme, and lyrical content.

Teacher Bio:
Phyllis Katz has worked as an actor, writer, director, improviser and teacher in varying combinations for film, TV, web, and stage for over 30 years. She is a former member of Chicago’s Second City Touring Company, as well as a founding member, director, teacher, and current board member of The Groundlings Theatre. She also co-created The Groundlings School.

Phyllis designs and conducts improv, writing, character development, musical improv, and corporate classes – most recently, Opera Meets Improv, for the Los Angeles Opera’s Domingo-Colburn-Stein program, the popular spoof of personal essay shows, A Bunch of Losers Reading Their Essays, and recurring Fake Benefits. She is a recurring guest instructor at The Actors Comedy Studio Margie Haber Studios, and The Collaborative. Her memoir, Hipwrecked, is available on Amazon, or she’ll be happy to read it to you over the phone, for a small fee.
