Teacher Bio:
Back from a hit production of HARVEY starring French Stewart at the Laguna Playhouse, character actor, Carole Ita White has been an improviser since high school, where she joined Richard Dreyfuss in an after school improv troupe. Then it was Harvey Lembeck's Comedy Workshop where she improvised with the likes of Penny Marshall, John Ritter and Lynne Stewart. In 1972, when the iconic Comedy Store opened, Carole Ita and Gary Austin were part of the Original Comedy Store Players, doing improvs every night for a year. Gary left the group to start the Groundlings, Carole Ita followed. Meanwhile, she worked in countless television shows, including Wilfred, Royal Pains, The Wayans Brothers, Mary tyler Moore Show, The Odd couple, Starsky and Hutch, Beverly Hills 90210., Falcon Crest, Dynasty, The Love Boat, and her recurring role as Big Rosie Greenbaum on the classic comedy, Laverne and Shirley. Some of her film roles include The Witches of Eastwick, Falling Down, Helter Skelter, The Fabulous Baker Boys, and Grand Canyon, starring Steve Martin and Kevin Kline. Currently she acts, writes, and teaches acting in Los Angeles.
